On October 20, a 51-meter large-span mechanized bridge was successfully erected on the banks of the Jialing River, marking a major milestone in the Shaanxi Section I of the ±800 kV Gansu–Zhejiang UHVDC Transmission Line Project. The completion of this bridge has provided strong support for the smooth advancement of the project.

Construction site of the mechanized bridge
Since September, a sharp rise in the Jialing River's water level has posed severe challenges to the transportation of personnel, materials and machinery. In response, State Grid Shaanxi Electric Power Company Limited adopted targeted measures and accelerated the deployment of a large mechanized bridge. During construction, the project team carried out precise operations to complete high-strength bolt connections between the end and middle bridge sections and conducted debugging of the hydraulic system. The completed bridge can safely accommodate 60-ton tracked equipment and 13-ton axle-load wheeled vehicles, fully meeting the needs of tower erection, conductor transportation, and other key construction tasks. This achievement has greatly enhanced the project's emergency construction capacity in complex terrain and significantly improved transportation efficiency.

Vehicles transporting materials crossing the mechanized bridge
This initiative embodies the core philosophy of mechanized grid construction—"safe, reliable, efficient, eco-friendly, and labor-saving," and adheres to the principles of "all-weather, all-terrain, and whole-process" operations. It has laid a solid foundation for the on-schedule advancement of the "Gansu-to-Zhejiang Power Transmission" project and provided a strong technical example for the high-quality development of Shaanxi's power grid construction.
