Nanyang, Henan: Reliable Power Supply Supports Summer Tourism Season

As temperatures rise this summer, the Laojieling Scenic Area in Xixia County, Nanyang City, Henan Province, has entered its peak season, attracting visitors seeking to escape the heat. Recently, staff from the Taiping Town Power Supply Station of the State Grid Nanyang Power Supply Company visited the Nanshan Xiaoyuan summer resort community to inspect power lines and identify and address potential electrical safety hazards in homestays and farm stays, ensuring safe and reliable power during the peak season.

Laojieling, known for its cool climate and rich cultural and tourism resources, attracts a large number of tourists every year.

To support smooth scenic area operations, staff from State Grid Nanyang have conducted comprehensive inspections of electrical facilities across the area, including service lines, indoor wiring, switches, and sockets. They identified and addressed safety hazards, conducted infrared thermal imaging and low-voltage terminal monitoring on nearby distribution transformers, distribution boxes, and low-voltage equipment. In addition, they provided residents and business owners with safety guidance to ensure visitors can fully enjoy a cool and safe summer experience.

As the tourist season brings increasing power demand, State Grid Nanyang Power Supply Company has implemented multiple measures to enhance customer convenience, including the establishment of a fast-track service channel for electricity access. These efforts aim to provide customers with more reliable, efficient, and convenient power services.

Looking ahead, State Grid Nanyang will combine drone patrols with manual inspections to monitor grid equipment and promptly eliminate equipment risks, ensuring the safe and stable operation of power lines. These measures will allow both local residents and visiting tourists to enjoy a comfortable and cool summer with dependable electricity service.
