As temperatures continue to rise, aquaculture is entering a critical period. On June 26, in Ninghai, Zhejiang Province, State Grid Ningbo Electric Power Company took proactive action by dispatching staff to local aquaculture bases, offering comprehensive on-site services to ensure a reliable power supply from the ground up.

Located along Sanmen Bay, Changjie Town in Ninghai County lies where saltwater and freshwater meet, creating a mineral and microbe-rich environment ideal for green crab farming. As one of the main breeding areas for Ninghai green crabs, the town has embraced a mixed-farming model, raising crabs alongside shellfish and other soft-bodied marine species to improve yields. However, aquaculture requires a particularly stable electricity supply—any delay in water exchange or oxygenation could lead to severe economic losses.

Staff from State Grid Ningbo Electric Power Company assisted farmers in inspecting internal wiring and equipment while explaining daily electricity safety practices. When issues such as aging cables or faulty circuit breakers were discovered, staff developed on-the-spot rectification plans to promptly eliminate potential hazards.

The company has also established a one-on-one tracking mechanism to better understand each farmer's electricity needs and aquaculture schedule. Customized power solutions are provided to enhance electrical safety awareness and emergency response capabilities among farmers.

Looking ahead, State Grid Ningbo Electric Power Company will continue strengthening services for aquaculture and other agricultural users. By increasing inspection frequency and shortening response times, the company ensures that power-related issues are resolved promptly—providing strong, reliable support for the healthy growth of the aquaculture industry and helping farmers increase yields and improve earnings.
