"Yangtze Odyssey" International Communication Event Kicks Off in Hubei

The "Yangtze Odyssey" International Communication Event is taking place in Hubei Province from November 10 to 15. A delegation of "Ambassadors of Cross-Cultural Dialogue," consisting of international influencers and content creators from Germany, Russia, Mexico, Egypt, South Korea, Thailand, and Pakistan, has joined multilingual hosts from China Media Group (CMG) to embark on a journey along the Yangtze River—exploring and sharing the rich culture of China's "Mother River" with the world.

During the six-day trip, the group will visit Wuhan, Yichang, and the Wudang Mountains, channeling the spirit of modern-day Marco Polos and Xu Xiakes—the legendary 17th-century Chinese explorer. In Wuhan's Optics Valley, they will experience the pulse of modern technology through robotics and drones. In Yichang, they will board the "Yangtze River Three Gorges 1"—the world's largest all-electric cruise ship by battery capacity—to witness the green transformation of the "Electrified Yangtze" Initiative. They will also visit Qu Yuan's hometown, where drones are used to harvest navel oranges, and experience the happy, eco-friendly lifestyle of local residents along the Three Gorges. The final stop will be the Wudang Mountains, where participants will ascend the Golden Summit and learn traditional wellness practices such as Tai Chi and Baduanjin, immersing themselves in the profound depth of Tai Chi culture and Taoist wisdom.
