From November 9 to 10, the final round and awards ceremony of the highly anticipated 3rd Anhui Story Sharing Contest for Foreigners were held at Anhui Radio and Television Station. Under the theme "Meet Anhui, Tell Anhui, Share Anhui," the two-day event brought together 21 exceptional international contestants who passionately shared heartfelt stories of friendship, cultural exchange, and their deep affection for Anhui.

The contest was co-hosted by the Publicity Department of the CPC Anhui Provincial Committee, Anhui Provincial Foreign Affairs Office, Anhui Provincial Department of Education, Anhui Provincial Department of Science and Technology, Anhui Provincial State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission, and Anhui Radio and Television Station. This initiative showcases Anhui's remarkable achievements in advancing Chinese modernization, highlighting its economic progress, rich culture, and social development.

An authoritative panel was assembled for the final round to ensure a fair, impartial, professional, and rigorous evaluation. Each judge contributed unique expertise, conducting comprehensive assessments based on language proficiency, narrative appeal, value for international communication, and stage presence. Their collective wisdom not only recognized excellence in storytelling but also promoted cross-cultural understanding.

This year's contest attracted 129 foreign contestants from 42 countries, reflecting its growing international influence. Through their unique perspectives, these contestants shared real experiences of studying, working, and living in Anhui, offering vivid glimpses into the province’s profound cultural heritage and impressive development achievements. From the ancient wisdom embodied by Mount Huangshan to the modern innovation driving Hefei, their stories painted a multifaceted portrait of Anhui.

The contest involved rigorous preliminary, semi-final, and final rounds, testing not only linguistic ability but also cultural sensitivity and narrative skill. Awards were presented to winners in the Chinese, English, Overseas, and New Media International Communication categories, as well as to outstanding organizing units that contributed to the contest's success.

Beyond the contest itself, the event fostered meaningful interactions between foreign participants and local communities. Workshops, cultural tours, and exchange events were organized, allowing contestants to immerse themselves in Anhui’s traditions, cuisine, and daily life.

The 3rd Anhui Story Sharing Contest for Foreigners not only deepened participants' understanding of Anhui but also built a robust bridge for cultural exchange, presenting a dynamic and charming Anhui to the world.
