According to Xinjiang Power Exchange Center Co., Ltd., since launching Xinjiang's power transmission initiatives in 2010, the region's cumulative power transmitted reached 1,000.5 billion kWh, over 1 trillion kWh, on December 15, marking a significant milestone. The transmission network covers 22 provinces, autonomous regions, and municipalities in China.

With the continuous enhancement of power grid support capacity, Xinjiang's power transmission scale has experienced exponential growth— from 300 million kWh in 2010 to 126.7 billion kWh in 2024 rapidly, marking a more than 422-fold increase over 14 years. Notably, the power transmission volume has exceeded 100 billion kWh for five consecutive years. From January to November 2025, Xinjiang's cumulative power transmission totaled 126.28 billion kWh, reflecting a growth of 10.36 percent year-on-year. New energy power transmission exceeded 42 billion kWh during this period, accounting for over 30 percent of the total power transmission, demonstrating sustained growth in green energy delivery.

Xinjiang's cumulative installed capacity of new energy exceeded 142 million kilowatts by October 2025, representing about 60 percent of the region's total energy installed capacity. This provides a solid foundation for the continued expansion of green power transmission.

To ensure safe and stable transmission channel operations, State Grid Xinjiang Electric Power Company Limited has accelerated technological innovation and digital transformation. Cutting-edge equipment and technologies, including drones, digital twins, and 5G eagle-eye cameras, have been extensively deployed at key hubs such as Changji Converter Station to establish a new comprehensive  inspection model that encompasses manual review, robotic inspection, and aerial drone support. The independently developed digital converter station system has increased operation and maintenance efficiency over threefold, creating a smart defense line for transmission channel safety.

Looking ahead, State Grid Xinjiang Electric Power Company Limited will continue to align with China's dual carbon goals by accelerating power grid structure improvements, advancing key transmission projects, optimizing green power trading mechanisms, and enhancing new energy consumption and delivery capacity. These efforts aim to deliver more low-carbon and clean electricity from Xinjiang to other regions of China. (Yu Yanchun, Li Changfeng)
