On March 22, the 2026 Guizhou Renhuai Marathon kicked off, attracting nearly 10,000 runners from across the country. Participants pushed their limits along a course infused with the aroma of baijiu, savoring the passion and joy of athletic competition.
The event featured two categories: the full marathon and the half marathon. Runners took in the scenic views of the "Liquor Capital" while experiencing the unique charm of sauce-aroma baijiu culture and the beauty of the surrounding landscape. Along the route, cultural performances such as the Lusheng dance and orchestral performances added vibrancy to the event, showcasing the region's rich local culture.
The marathon fully leveraged the broad spillover effects of sports events, seamlessly integrating competitive athletics with cultural tourism. It allowed participants to challenge themselves while immersing themselves in baijiu culture, taking in the breathtaking scenery of the Chishui River Valley, and experiencing the unique allure of China's Liquor Capital. This event injected new momentum into Renhuai's integrated development of baijiu, sports, culture, and tourism, and contributed to the construction of the world-class sauce-aroma baijiu core production area.
