2026 Jiangyan Qintong Boat Festival Held in Taizhou

On April 6, the 2026 Taizhou Jiangyan Qintong Boat Festival was held at Qinhu National Wetland Park in Taizhou, Jiangsu Province. More than 500 boats carried over 10,000 competitors, who plied their poles and oars swiftly and rode the waves, presenting a spectacular sight.

Event Scene

With the theme "A Prominent Health & Wellness City, A Dynamic Jiangyan", the festival centers on a storyline featuring "Qinxiaolu", the distinctive IP mascot of Qinhu, leading students on a tour of their hometown Jiangyan. Through situational performances and immersive experiences, it delivers a visual and auditory feast, highlighting the charm of the water town, local folk customs, and urban confidence, creating a new intangible cultural heritage experience that integrates modern creativity, interactive participation, and emotional resonance.

Gong Struck to Start the Race

At the event site, the thrilling boat races ignited the enthusiasm of the entire audience. Zhou Gaoping, head coach of the first-ever "JSL" championship team, struck the gong to announce the start of the boat races. Twenty rowing boats, 68 pole boats, and 27 dragon boats dashed out in succession, braving the waves and competing fiercely on the lake.

The race boasted a more diverse and younger lineup of participants, drawing college students from universities inside and outside Jiangsu Province as well as foreign friends, reflecting the youthful trend and broad popular support of the Qintong Boat Festival.

Event Scene

During the festival, Jiangyan District also held the 2026 "Dynamic Four Cities, A Promising Future for Jiangyan" city development exchange conference. Talented people living outside Jiangyan, business representatives and industry experts were invited to gather in Jiangyan. Through thematic exhibitions, on-site tours, dialogues, and signing ceremonies, the event fully showcased Jiangyan's development achievements and future prospects, jointly mapping out a new blueprint for building the "Dynamic Four Cities".
