357 Multinational Companies from 44 Countries and Regions Attend the 7th Qingdao Multinationals Summit

The 7th Qingdao Multinationals Summit was held from June 15 to 17 at the Qingdao International Conference Center, bringing together 357 multinational companies from 44 countries and regions.

Co-hosted by the Ministry of Commerce and the Shandong Provincial People's Government, this national-level platform for opening up is committed not only to advancing Shandong's high-quality development, but also to serving the country's broader strategy of high-standard opening up through continuous innovation in event organization.

The summit featured targeted business matchmaking sessions and organized one-on-one supply and demand meetings, encouraging multinationals to leverage their advanced technologies and management expertise to facilitate the digital and green transformation of traditional industries. New thematic events focusing on new energy vehicles and energy storage were introduced to better align multinationals' cutting-edge technologies with Shandong's industrial needs.

In terms of international cooperation, the summit introduced its first Country and Enterprise Day. Marking the 55th anniversary of China–Türkiye diplomatic relations, the event featured the 2026 China (Shandong)–Türkiye Exchange Day. The Shandong–ASEAN Cooperation and Negotiation Conference on Housing and Urban and Rural Development was also held concurrently, exploring new pathways for infrastructure cooperation with ASEAN countries.

On the policy front, the summit focused on the comprehensive pilot program for further opening up the service sector, showcasing innovative cases. For the first time, the Multinationals High-Quality Development Forum featured a presentation on China's intellectual property protection policy arrangements for the "15th Five-Year Plan" period. Additionally, the event integrated trade promotion with consumer-oriented activities through a series of themed programs and consumption scenarios, enhancing participants' sense of engagement and gain.
