According to Ceke Port authorities in the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, as of 8 p.m. on June 30, the port’s cumulative cargo throughput for 2026 had exceeded 20 million metric tons, reaching the milestone 70 days earlier than in 2025 and setting a new historical record for first-half cargo clearance.

Customs clearance operations at Ceke Port

Since the start of this year, the Ceke Port Administrative Committee has coordinated resources from multiple departments, including Customs, border inspection and transport authorities. It has worked with Mongolia’s Shiveekhuren Port to build a cross-border coordination framework. Focusing on bottlenecks and difficulties in freight traffic, the port has made coordinated efforts in four areas: process reengineering, cross-border cooperation, smart regulation and business-friendly services, continuously improving the port’s cargo throughput efficiency.
In addition, Ceke Port has streamlined its customs clearance procedures this year. Using the international trade “single window” platform, it has built a seamless customs clearance system. Digital regulation models, including paperless declaration and intelligent document review, have been rolled out, and one-stop joint inspection has been implemented, supported by equipment such as intelligent inspection devices and infrared monitoring systems. These measures have shortened clearance times and improved the flow of freight logistics chains.
Meanwhile, Ceke Port has continued to improve its business environment. In 2026, it helped develop the first AEO Advanced Certified Enterprise in its jurisdiction. Since April, 400,000 metric tons of inbound cargo have benefited from customs clearance facilitation measures, effectively reducing companies’ operating costs. Going forward, the port will advance the capacity expansion and upgrading of freight channels and the development of intelligent platforms. It will consolidate its strengths in energy trade, cultivate new growth in foreign trade, and aim for annual cargo clearance of 35 million metric tons. Through high-quality opening-up, the port will help improve and upgrade the region’s opening-up.
