【2026 Daka China】 Digital Intelligence Empowers Jining's Eco-friendly Shipbuilding on Inland Waterways

On July 13, the delegation of 2026 "Daka China" — Hello, "15th Five-Year Plan"! New Quality Productive Forces Empowering Innovative Development of Shandong International Online Communication Event visited Shandong Xinneng Shipbuilding Co., Ltd., a shipbuilding company based in Jining, east China's Shandong province. Overseas internet influencers and China Media Group's multilingual anchors paid an on-site visit to China's first intelligent manufacturing demonstration base for new energy inland waterway vessels. They inspected its achievements in the green, intelligent and standardized development of inland waterway ships, touching the upgrading and dynamic growth of Shandong's inland shipping industry.

Xinneng Shipbuilding's new energy ship manufacturing base was established by Shandong Ronghui Group alongside leading industrial enterprises and universities, including CIMC Group, CATL and Wuhan University of Technology. Developed in several phases, the first phase of the project has been put into production, with an annual shipbuilding capacity of 240 vessels.

Stepping into the facility, the entire workshop is covered by 5G networks, enabling data interconnection and coordinated operation of equipment across the whole production chain. CNC cutting machines cut materials with high precision, while welding robots work in an orderly manner, boosting the production efficiency significantly.

This manufacturing base will further strengthen cross-industry and cross-field cooperation and exchanges, accelerate the industrial application of technological achievements for green and intelligent ships, thus expanding application scenarios for new energy vessels on inland and offshore waterways.
