Wenzhou Haixia Power Crosses sea to Support Post-typhoon Power Restoration in Yueqing

Recently, Typhoon Dolphin hit Wenzhou and caused severe damage to the power grid in Yueqing. On August 10, the Haixia Power Repair Team of State Grid Wenzhou Power Supply Company mobilized 33 front-line power workers and crossed the sea to Liushi, Yueqing, to carry out post-typhoon power restoration work.

Upon arriving at the fault site of the 10-kilovolt Dongni Line in Liushi, Yueqing, the repair team immediately started work. Using a three-dimensional inspection mode of “UAV aerial inspection + manual ground detailed investigation”, the team conducted all-round checks on faulty lines, poles and towers, equipment and surrounding areas. The site was located in a low-lying rural area, and the dirt access roads were submerged in rainwater and become muddy and impassable after the typhoon-driven heavy rains. Engineering vehicles could not pass, so off-road vehicles had to shuttle back and forth to transport the crew in batches. As night fell, poor lighting further complicated operations. Upholding the power industry’s iron-army spirit of persistent combat, team members cleared.

Water-logged obstacles, identified various hidden dangers and worked out prompt repair plans. After more than one hour of strenuous efforts, the broken-wire fault was repaired. The line was successfully re-energized, and power was gradually resrored to local households.

The Haixia Power Repair Team will continue to conduct section by section inspections of power line, respond to residents' electricity needs and strengthen on-site operation supervision of repair operations to advance restoration efforts. This cross-sea support exemplifies the internal coordination of Wenzhou power sector in typhoon-relief operations. The team will continue to overcomechallenges and help  restore nomal electricity services as soon as possible.
