State Grid Kenli Branch Prepares for Flood Prevention

At present, Kenli District, Dongying, Shandong province has entered the flood season. In order to prepare for flood prevention, Kenli, Dongying Power Supply Company, a branch affiliated to China State Grid Shandong Electric Power Company, has carried out full preparation and deployment of power transmission and distribution equipment, implemented flood control emergency measures, and investigated and rectified hidden dangers of urban pumping stations and flood gates.

 Kenli Branch stepped up investigation and rectification of hidden dangers to ensure the reliable operation of equipment. The staff of the company inspected key facilities such as substations and transmission and distribution lines and towers, reinforced foundations of low-lying transmission and distribution towers, thus ensuring safe operation of these lines. In addition, they carried out hidden danger inspections on tide gates, flood discharge gates, and reservoirs, and urged people in residential communities and commercial complexes to make preparations for waterproofing and drainage work of underground distribution rooms.

Kenli Branch strengthened emergency preparations and resolutely built a strong defense against flooding. The company made an emergency plan for flood prevention and emergency response, organized emergency training and drills for all employees, and arranged special personnel to manage rain gear, lighting equipment, repair tools and other flood prevention materials required for flood prevention and rescue, ensuring that rescue work could be launched at any time during critical moments.

During the heaviest rainy season in summer, Kenli Branch will shoulder the  responsibilities of flood prevention and power supply, enhance its support and capabilities in response to heavy rainfall, and make full effort to prepare for flood prevention.
