Student Representatives from the School of Literature at Shandong University of Technology Attend an International Academic Conference in Russia

On June 5 to 6, the academic conference on "Philosophy and Modern Civilization in East Asia (China, Japan, South Korea)" organized by the Institute of China and Modern Asia Studies of the Russian Academy of Sciences was held in Moscow, the capital of Russia. The theme of this conference is "China and East Asia: Philosophy, Literature, Culture". Experts and scholars from China, Russia, North Korea, South Korea, Mongolia and other countries attended the conference. Qiu Wenrong, Zhao Linlin, and Sun Yuanyue, graduate students majoring in Chinese International Education at the School of Literature and Journalism at Shandong University of Technology, were invited to attend the conference and give keynote speeches at the sub forum.

At the meeting, Kirill Babaev, Director of the Institute of China and Modern Asia Studies of the Russian Academy of Sciences and a PhD in Linguistics, and Kirill Barsky, Professor at the Moscow International Academy, respectively delivered welcoming speeches. They pointed out that cultural exchange, as an important component of state relations, is of great significance in enhancing mutual understanding among scholars from different countries. The hosting of this academic conference provides a platform for scholars and experts from various countries to conduct in-depth discussions and exchanges, injecting new vitality into cultural exchange and cooperation among countries.

During the sub forum speaking session, Qiu Wenrong delivered a keynote speech titled "Research on the Communication Effect of the English Translation of Sun Zi's Art of War - A Case Study of Amazon Book Reviews in the United States". Zhao Linlin delivered a keynote speech titled "The Influence of 'Harmony' Thought on International Chinese Education from the Spread of Confucianism in Southeast Asia". Sun Yuanyue delivered a keynote speech titled "Research on the Current Situation of Chinese Cultural Communication in Mongolian Chinese Language Teaching".

This conference has provided a platform for language, philosophy, literature, and cultural exchanges between China and Russia, which will help promote graduate students to broaden their academic horizons and improve their professional competence.
