Baoji Plans 762 Significant Provincial and Municipal Projects with Total Investment of CNY 388.177 Billion in 2023

During the second session of the press conference under the theme of "Implementing the Guiding Principles of the 20th CPC National Congress and Promoting the Activity Series for the Year of Study, Actions, and Services to Foster New High-quality Development in Shaanxi" held on April 17, Wang Yong, Deputy Secretary of the CPC Baoji Municipal Committee and Mayor of Baoji announced that Baoji was ranked first in the province's high-quality project construction performance evaluation for 2022. As the construction of projects continues to show positive trends in quantity and quality, efficiency, and performance, the city has arranged 762 significant provincial and municipal projects in 2023, with a total investment of CNY 388.177 billion. Furthermore, the city has invested CNY 129.68 billion in projects annually. In the first quarter of 2023, Baoji began work on 671 of the 762 projects arranged for the year, accounting for an 88 percent project operating rate. The investment completed in this period reached CNY 47.269 billion, which corresponds to 36.45 percent of the annual investment plan. The city’s project operating and investment completion rates took first place in the province.

"Currently, Baoji is in a crucial phase where our project construction is gaining momentum, and investment promotion is becoming more efficient. The development of our city is also demonstrating improved quality. Our approach will continue to involve practical measures that strengthen the activity series for the year of study, actions, and services. We will focus on implementing the development strategy that features one overall goal of accelerating the development of the city sub-center and pilot zone, four pillars that support our urban functions, five driving forces that fuel collaborative development with Guanzhong Plain city cluster and integrated development with Xi'an, and ten primary tasks to achieve the overall development goal. Our priorities will concentrate on these ten crucial tasks, including supporting the manufacturing industry's high-quality growth and enhancing our city sub-center's development quality to have a good start and achieve significant accomplishments throughout 2023. Thus, we can comprehensively improve the quality and efficiency of Baoji's high-quality development, helping the city move towards a new growth stage," said Wang Yong.
