Completion of the 330-KV Tangyu Transformer Substation Renovation Project of State Grid Baoji Power Supply Company

Recently, No. 1 main transformer of the 330-KV Tangyu Substation of State Grid Baoji Power Supply Company was successfully put into operation, marking the completion of the capacity expansion and renovation project of the 330-KV Tangyu Transformer Substation.

Tangyu Transformer Substation started construction in October 1969 and was completed and put into operation in June 1972. It is one of the first 330-KV ultra-high voltage hub substations in China. The transformation and upgrading project, starting from March 2021, has lasted for more than a year, with No. 1 main transformer replaced and No. 2 main transformer built, so that the total capacity of the substation has increased to 300 megavolt amperes (MVA). Besides, it has added the 330-KV switch and changed the delta connection into the quadrangle connection.

At the final sprint stage of the project construction, facing the tight schedule and the pandemic, the whole work area was closed for management, firmly adhering to the "pandemic prevention and control line" and the "progress line" of the project.

In order to ensure safe and orderly operation, State Grid Baoji Power Supply Company has set up a comprehensive engineering management team, which coordinates relevant contractors to formulate detailed acceptance, operation and launch plans, holds a coordinating meeting every day, reports progress and defects found in acceptance, to achieves perfection in all aspects. All of these have ensured that the renovation project of Tangyu Transformer Substation featuring high-quality development will go into operation as scheduled.
