From June 26 to 30, the 2025 (China) Eurasia Commodity and Trade Expo (EACT EXPO) took place at the Xinjiang International Convention & Exhibition Center in Urumqi. State Grid Xinjiang Electric Power Company Limited provided a complete green power supply for the exhibition through efficient organization of green power transactions, showcasing Xinjiang's commitment to green development.

Under the theme of "Advancing Eurasian Cooperation, Sharing Silk Road Prosperity", the 2025 EACT EXPO utilized an innovative "1+10+N" exhibition model to systematically display the development achievements of Xinjiang's ten major industrial clusters across an exhibition area of 100,000 sqm. Green principles were integrated throughout the entire process, from the selection of construction materials to energy supply. Environmentally friendly exhibition materials and devices were used to create a green space, with all-green electricity consumption becoming a core feature of this low-carbon event, drawing significant attention from exhibitors and the public both domestically and internationally.
According to Liu Mingxing of the State Grid Urumqi Power Supply Company, the EACT EXPO obtained full green electricity supply for the second consecutive year. In 2023, the expo marked its first full coverage of green electricity by facilitating the transaction of 300 green electricity certificates between the International Convention & Exhibition Center and four local new energy enterprises. In 2025, the expo purchased 300,000 kWh of green electricity again by leveraging the professional support of green electricity and certificate service stations and mature new energy coordination systems. The two expo sessions have reduced carbon emissions by 5.08 tons in total, setting a benchmark for green efforts at major events.

During the expo, to ensure a stable and reliable supply of green electricity, State Grid Urumqi Power Supply Company established a "double insurance" power supply guarantee system, innovatively combining uninterruptible power supply (UPS), 0.4 kV low-voltage power cars, and automatic transfer switching equipment. A dedicated power supply team monitored key points around the clock and enabled quick automatic switching in response to faults in distribution rooms. This ensured that the main venue remained unaffected by power supply issues during any external line emergencies. The company used advanced technology to facilitate seamless electricity consumption of the event.
Looking ahead, State Grid Xinjiang Electric Power Company Limited will maintain its leading role in ensuring energy supply, promoting full green power supply for more major events and competitions, and supporting Xinjiang's green development with clean electricity.
