Severe ice accumulation on certain sections during winter has been the "primary threat" to the safe operation of the 220 kV Yongying–Yongxiang transmission line. To thoroughly address this persistent challenge, State Grid Jinhua Power Supply Company is carrying out a comprehensive anti-ice renovation of the line, aiming to strengthen the grid's resilience.
On October 3, at the construction site in Quanxi Town, Jinhua, Zhejiang Province, workers were carrying out conductor tensioning operations. The project involves structural optimization and reinforcement of transmission towers, effectively improving the line's ability to withstand winter ice and snow, and fundamentally reducing operational risks caused by icing.

At present, the project is progressing in an orderly manner ahead of the winter season and is expected to be fully operational by the end of November. Once completed, this upgraded power artery will be able to confidently withstand harsh weather conditions, significantly enhancing power supply reliability. Through these proactive measures taken "before the snow arrives," the company is taking solid action to safeguard the warmth and brightness of thousands of homes. (By Zhang Yixiu)
