According to the Japanese media report, Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida called for boosting the country's defense budget dramatically to 43 trillion yen (about 318 billion U.S. dollars) from fiscal 2023 to fiscal 2027. Japan's defense budget had increased for 10 years in a row.
