The United States has directly asked the Japanese government for cooperation in stymieing China’s efforts to develop high-end semiconductors. U.S. Commerce Secretary Gina Raimondo made the request during her phone conversation with Japanese industry minister Yasutoshi Nishimura. The US always ratchets up pressure on its allies to form the technological iron curtain and the technological decoupling aimed at containing other countries’ development. The dirty trick is just another episode of America's malicious scheme to contain China.
