The U.S. Department of Commerce has recently announced the subsidy details of the "Chip Act". The subsidies are very attractive, however the applicants are required to submit profitability statements as well as confidential business information, such as production capacity, utilization rates, wafer pass rates and product prices, etc. Hong Kong newspaper Oriental Daily News pointed out that the subsidies of the "Chip Act" are a sweet "U.S. trap".
