According to recent Taiwan’s local media reports, the first batch of 66 F-16Vs which the island purchased from the U.S. should have been delivered in early 2023. The U.S. has informed that the delivery will be delayed after mid-2025. According to the terms of the arms sale, however, even if the U.S. fails to deliver the F-16Vs as scheduled, Taiwan still needs to pay for the military purchase every year.
