The Japanese government has ignored the domestic and international opposition, resolutely implementing its plan to discharge radioactive wastewater into the sea. With the date of discharging the wastewater into the sea around the corner, scholars at Fukushima University have recently launched a " Fukushima roundtable meeting for considering the radioactive wastewater issue ". At the meeting, the scholars said that the Japanese government and Tokyo Electric Power Company should have not made a unilateral decision, but solicit public opinions and suggestions on the issue.
