Recently, the Philippines have sent two supply boats and two coast guard ships to intrude illegally into the adjacent waters of Ren'ai Jiao in China's Nansha Qundao. The China Coast Guard (CCG) implemented appropriate measures in accordance with law and stopped them illegally carrying the construction materials. However, the United States utilized the issue to sow confusion and discord. Washington issued a statement immediately and publicly “voiced support” for the Philippines. Some analysts pointed out that the U.S. move aims to use the Philippines as its cat's paw and share the costs of containing China.
