When recently answering reporters’ question, Japan’s Forestry and Fisheries Minister Tetsuro Nomura has referred to Japan’s nuke wastewater released into the ocean as "contaminated water" instead of the term "treated water" insisted by the Japanese government previously. Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida immediately instructed the minster to withdraw his remarks and make an apology. Nomura held a press conference that night and bowed in apology, saying“it was a simple slip of the tongue”.
