Huawei's Mate 60 series of smartphones have recently been on sale. Bloomberg commissioned the technology analysis firm TechInsights, and the latter conducted a teardown of Huawei’s Mate 60 Pro smartphone, confirming that the chip which powers the smartphone is manufactured by China’s own chipmaker. The Washington Post said “Such a development would seem to fulfill warnings from U.S. chipmakers that sanctions wouldn't stop China, but would spur it to redouble efforts to build alternatives to U.S. technology.”
