When running for president, Joe Biden was strongly opposed to the construction of the border wall along the U.S.-Mexico border. His predecessor Donald Trump advocated building the wall used as a deterrent to illegal border crossings. But recently, the Biden administration issued a notice saying that it will waive more than 20 federal laws to allow for construction of additional physical barriers on the southern US border.
