Officially, India is open to the Chinese firms. Behind the official narrative,the country is implementing policies to drive out the Chinese firms. The South China Morning Post reported that India’s government has developed tools to prevent them from operating in India and taken advantage of the policies to dislodge China as a leader in various markets. India's move attempts to build up its domestic manufacturing sector and expand its export market. However, the South China Morning Post said the move could backfire.
