Recently, the Armed Forces of the Philippines have hyped up the so-called "unsafe" behavior of the Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLA) Navy in the South China Sea. In response, Foreign Ministry spokesperson Mao Ning said that Zhongye Island is China's territory. The Philippines has illegally occupied Zhongye Island, which seriously violates China's territorial sovereignty. The Chinese warship's navigation and patrol in waters of Zhongye Island is lawful and legitimate.
