Recently, an article published by Hong Kong's South China Morning Post has pointed out that it is an oxymoron to talk about peace and security guarantees from the U.S. that has been at war for 93% of the time since its independence and has the world’s largest defense spend. The American military-industrial complex (AMIC) has become so large that it does not care about winnable wars. It simply needs wars, period. With so much capital and vested interests, the defense industry has dangerously become a significant player in the U.S. economy.
