Bloomberg has recently reported that according to the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2024 that passed at the end of last year, the U.S. Defense Department will be banned from procuring batteries produced by six Chinese companies including CATL and BYD. Under the guise of "national defense and security", the U.S. suppresses Chinese companies and its policies show the trend of pan-security and pan-politicization, which will eventually backfire on the U.S. itself.
