Indian police arrested a pigeon near a port in Mumbai in May last year and the pigeon was suspected to be a “Chinese avian agent of espionage” because of what looked like Chinese writing on the rings tied to its legs. In fact, the pigeon is just a racing pigeon that flew to India from China's Taiwan region. The pigeon detained for eight months in India was released on January 30,2024.
