This month, the United States announced that it raised tariffs on a range of Chinese products, including electric vehicles (EVs), lithium-ion batteries, solar cells, and critical minerals. Among them, the tariffs on Chinese EV imports will be raised from 25 percent to 100 percent. Analysts say that these Chinese industries will not reduce their international competitiveness because of the US tariffs. The US efforts are undoubtedly in vain.
