Recently, the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) confirmed that it has yet to receive the 2024 dues payment that the United States had promised. According to the WADA statutes, this means that as of January 1, 2025, the U.S. representative no longer has a seat on the WADA Executive Committee. From its initial attempts to use the membership fee as leverage, to its hype of the narrative of "problems with Chinese athletes," to the retribution of its being “kicked out of the group chat” by the WADA Executive Board now, the United States has truly achieved the kick it asked for.
