Taiyuan Starts Developing National Health City

Taiyuan, capital of North China's Shanxi province, started creating a national health city to improve local urban functions, investment environment, and economic development.

According to the press conference held by the Taiyuan municipal government on Feb 15, the city plans to coordinate the creation of a national health city, national health counties and national health towns and townships from 2022 to 2024. 

The main tasks include improving the city appearance and environment, strengthening environmental protection, ensuring the safety of food and drinking water, optimizing disease prevention and control and medical and health services, and promoting health education.
