On June 28, the roundtable dialogue on " Ten Years of the Belt and Road Initiative: How Can China’s Central State-owned Enterprises (SOEs) Play a Better Role in International Communication" was held in Beijing with both online and offline attendance. Naseem Khan Achakza, advisor to speaker Balochistan Assembly and Executive Director of Policy Think Tank in Pakistan who participated via video teleconference, mentioned that the development of China and the Chinese modernization are not less than a miracle for the whole world from which other countries could learn a lot.

Naseem Khan Achakza said that the Belt and Road Initiative has reached its tenth year of successful implementation. Apart from strengthening policy coordination, infrastructure connectivity, multi-lateral trade, financial integration, one of the most important aspects of BRI is the people-to-people bond which serves as the social foundation of the Initiative. There are still much to achieve in terms of sending the message of “Common prosperity and Shared benefits” to local people.

He pointed out that, due to cultural differences in most of the cases, hindrances persist. Meanwhile, there have been attempts to exploit such conditions in order to upgrade the estrangement between China and the rest of the world. As supporters and partners of the Belt and Road Initiative, we have to play a positive and proactive role in informing the local people in BRI member countries of how BRI has changed the overall face of development and how it has helped local communities become examples of sustainable growth.
