Drones used to bust gambling gang in Wuhan
WUHAN - Police in Central China's Hubei province said Monday they had used drones to bust a gambling gang.
Twelve gang members and 49 suspected gamblers were caught, and more than 50,000 yuan ($7,836) in gambling money was seized in a police raid on May 16, according to the Wuhan Public Security Bureau.
Police began to investigate the gang, which operated in the cities of Wuhan and Xiantao. However, the gang often changed its gambling locations, said the policemen.
On May 15, police used drones to spy on a suspected gambling site where the gang operated. The drones helped police acquire 3D views and plan their raid.
Police also seized two POS machines and several gambling devices during the raid.
