Beijing becomes the host city of the 2022 Olympic Winter Games

On the afternoon of July 31st, 2015 (Beijing time), the 128th IOC Session was held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. In the secret ballot among all the IOC members, Beijing won 44 votes. Thus, IOC decided that Beijing would become the host city of the 2022 Olympic Winter Games.

As a result, China has become the 9th host country of both Summer and Winter Olympics, and Beijing has become the first host city of both Summer and Winter Olympics.

Yanqing is one of the three competition zones of the 2022 Olympic Winter Games, and people there were very excited and joyously celebrated this historic moment after knowing the good news.
